During 2014-2016, the Southeast Asian LED lighting market share has increased significantly, and the penetration rate is expected to grow from 25% to 37%.

»  The LED lighting market is gaining momentum in Southeast Asia. The market is smaller than in Asia-Pacific but offers long-term prospects to market participants due to strong governmental support. Other drivers include the development of smart cities and economic corridors in Indonesia and Malaysia. Singapore provides the largest opportunities in Southeast Asia, but Indonesia emerged as the fastest-growing LED lighting market. Price reduction is expected to continue but market participants are producing more innovative products that focus on energy-efficient lighting and optimum production cost efficiency.

»  Southeast Asia has seen significant growth in the LED market in the last few years and the rate of replacement of traditional lighting with LED lighting has also gone up. From Singapore to Malaysia to Thailand to India, policymakers are clearing ambitious infrastructure projects that will give rise to huge LED lighting demands.
