For more than 150 years, hot-dip galvanizing after fabrication has been specified to combat steel corrosion in the harshest environments throughout various markets. However, new technologies and creative chemistries evolve the specification and use of hot-dip galvanized steel constantly as new markets emerge. Hot dip galvanizing has proven to be more serviceable and predictable than all other steel protective coatings in the atmosphere. Zinc is most important characteristics is its ability to protect steel against corrosion. The life and durability of steel are greatly improved when coated with zinc as with hot dip galvanized steel articles. Its excellent performance is due to its inherent corrosion resistance, high tolerance to mechanical damage and inertness to UV.
